Healthwatch Sunderland conducted an Enter and View visit to Glenholme House Care Home in February 2018. The home provides care for up to 40 permanent residents and 5 day care residents over the age of 65, who require residential dementia, old age and day care. Information was gathered through questionnaires from residents, visitors and staff, alongside observations made by the Healthwatch representatives.

Relatives also felt that staff responded to changes to the residents needs well and relatives were kept informed. There is a range of activities on offer, including trips outside the home, and residents commented that they enjoy taking part. Residents reported that they liked the food/drink and were given choices. Residents have access to health care through regular visits from GPs, Chiropodists, Opticians, Dentists and Nurses. Residents also reported that their culture and lifestyle needs are respected at the home. All residents agreed that they wouldn't change anything about the home.
