Summary of report content

This is a report which was written by Healthwatch Bolton after the TEC event that was held on 3rd August 2017 which involved getting people’s opinions on their use of technology, whether they had heard of TEC and their opinions on apps. This information was collected by asking the people to carry out a survey.

There were 116 people who took part with the report providing results on regarding:

Whether people have heard of the term ‘TEC’

What people’s awareness of apps were which was split into ‘Health & Fitness’, ‘Mental Health’ & ‘Other’.

What people’s awareness of health related apps were.

What people’s attitudes to app use were.

The report also contains comments which people wrote on the survey and the report is concluded with some recommendations as a result of the TEC event.
