Summary of report content

Healthwatch West Sussex gathered people’s views, as part of its regular programme of quarterly reports, on their experiences of using health and social care services between July and September 2017. 380 people responded through a variety of Listening Tour events, online comments and letters and forms part of the quarterly review and report process. The report also highlights the latest issues effecting people's health and social care across the area.

The primary issues raised this quarter related to GP Practices with waiting times, getting appointment and poor complaints process being problems. Hospital services including lack of communication, poor service regarding surgery and discharge from hospital.

The report also contains updates and news in relation to respite care for older people, urgent care and the 111 Out of hours service and progress on the laocal partnership of Clinical Commissioning Groups in the area.
