Healthwatch Cheshire conducted an Enter and View at Corbrook Park Nursing Home, a nursing care home in Audlem, near Crewe, Cheshire, which provides care for up to 80 people. The home caters for people who are elderly, have a physical disability, require respite or have Dementia and related conditions.
The visit was conducted on 15th August 2017 which was organised prior to the visit.
Observation by the enter and view representatives reported that:
The home was well maintained with a relaxed friendly atmosphere throughout with the home being peaceful and well ordered. The home has caring staff with friendly residents who cared for their peers showing concern and helping those who are less able.
The comments about the home were positive with the residents and family members saying how happy they was with the home.
Following the visit, the enter and view team made slight recommendations saying that the home should forge links with organisations in the local community which the service manager has responded to, giving feedback stating that they are looking to be involved more in the local community and they have also started to plan some events which will involve them interacting with the local community.
