Healthwatch Cumbria conducted an Enter and View on Cold Springs Park Care Home, Cumbria, a privately owned care home catering for elderley and various levels of dementia. The visit was conducted on 22nd June 2017.
The visit was arranged as part of Healthwatch Cumbria's enter and view schedule.
Observation by the enter and view representatives reported that:
The home and gardens were well maintained. The reception was secure and modern with good information available.
Access to healthcare was not a problem.
There was an activity coordinator with an advertised schedule for activities. There didn't seem to be any day trips away from the home organised by the staff. Healthwatch Cumbria recommended this be looked into in the future.
There was no response from the provider.
The area of the home that catered for residents was separate to the general care home.
There was a set BUPA menu for food and residents could choose what they wanted fron the menu. All food was prepared on the premises.
