Summary of report content

Healthwatch Northamptonshire undertook an announced enter and view visit to CUBE Disability Northampton on 8 March 2017.  They wanted to understand what sort of activities this specialist private service provided for people with severe learning disabilities. They spoke to 7 people and heard from 13 parents and carers.

The report looks at:

  • Premises
  • Access to the service
  • Duty of care and emergency contact system
  • Staffing and qualifications
  • Activities
  • Links with families and carers

The Healthwatch Northamptonshire representatives were very impressed by what they heard and saw during the visit. Their only comment/recommendation was about the need for clearer signage on the outside of the building to enable visitors to identify the main entrance.
