Links Lodge is a residential care home in Blackpool which specialises in supporting adults with complex needs such as physical and learning disabilities, sensory impairments and dementia with the home having capacity for up to 10 people.

The visit was arranged as part of Healthwatch Blackpool’s enter and view schedule and was conducted on 29th July 2016.

Observation by the enter and view representatives reported that:

The residential care home provide good practice in a number of areas such as good use of technology to record information, a wide range of variety where activities are concerned, innovative training offered to staff to make them aware of the life of residents along with extensive end of life care planning.

No recommendations were reported with the service manager stating that they were pleased with the very positive comments and that they had not requested to make any changes to the report.
