Summary of report content

This Enter and View report was conducted at Langdales Care Home, Blackpool. The Enter and View was completed by Healthwatch Blackpool as part of their enter and view schedule. The visit was conducted on 16th December 2015.

A total of 10 residents were spoken to and one manager. The comments recieved were largely positive. There were some suggestions regarding food, activities on offer and knocking before entering rooms.

Recommendations were made in the report and the provider has responded to these. There is a plan to improve food and activities, as a new chef is being hired. A new activities manager is being recruited to improve the entertainment for residents. Staff have been asked to wait for residents to respond to their door knock before they enter a room.
