Haddon Court is a residential care home in Blackpool which has a capacity of 33 residents and specialises in the support of older people living with dementia. The home also offers a home for life for their residents. The visit was an announced visit as part of Healthwatch Blackpool's enter and view schedule, was conducted on 16th December 2015 where 9 residents and 1 family member were spoken with to gain their views.

The home has a secure entrance, has three floors and also has a homely feel with it being clean, fit for purpose and having no unpleasant odours with the residents stating that they enjoyed living at the home and felt safe and comfortable. The residents also stated that they felt the staff was caring towards them and were friendly, approachable and always keen to help.

Observation by the enter and view representatives reported that:

The comments in general were positive with the residents happy with where they lived and the care they received.

The only improvement mentioned was that there was going to be an introduction of regular resident meetings with minutes which the care home manager suggested themselves.
