Summary of report content

In September 2026, Healthwatch Milton Keynes carried out an Enter and View visit to Bletchley House to understand residents’ experiences of living at the home, including opportunities for social interaction and physical activity. The visit included discussions with residents, relatives and staff, alongside observations of daily life within the home.

Residents and relatives were highly positive about the care provided and praised the staff team for their kindness, compassion and support. Particular strengths included the home’s activities programme, efforts to reduce social isolation and the quality of end of life care. Healthwatch also highlighted the positive impact of the home’s new manager, who was described as approachable and responsive to residents and families. Recommendations focused on staff uniforms, privacy and dignity, and ways to further enhance residents’ experience. The provider welcomed the findings and confirmed actions to address the recommendations.
