Stalham Green Surgery report

Healthwatch Norfolk undertook research on patient experiences of Stalham Green Surgery in July 2026. They spoke to 11 people and received feedback with an average rating of 4 out of 5. The surgery, which is part of a practice that also includes Ludham Surgery, had previously been rated Outstanding by the Care Quality Commission. 

Patients were generally very positive about the service and frequently described staff as friendly, knowledgeable, attentive and helpful. Many praised the care they received from doctors, nurses and dispensary staff, and several reported being able to obtain appointments and prescriptions without difficulty.

The main concerns related to access and communication. Some patients said it could be difficult to obtain a prompt appointment, with waits of several weeks for routine doctor appointments. Others expressed dissatisfaction with the telephone and triage systems, particularly older patients who felt less able to navigate these changes. There were also comments about confusion when calls were transferred between Stalham and Ludham surgeries. 

Overall, feedback indicated that patients valued the quality of care and the professionalism of staff. While access to appointments and communication systems were identified as areas for improvement, most respondents reported positive experiences and were satisfied with the care they received.
