Enter and view: Adelaide House Care Home

Healthwatch Warwickshire carried out an unannounced Enter and View visit to Adelaide House Residential Care Home in June 2015 to look at whether standards of dignity and safety were being maintained. Healthwatch spoke with two residents and one visitor, who were positive about the care provided. The home was found to be clean and well maintained, with friendly and respectful interactions between staff and residents and no concerns identified around dignity. 

Recommendations included improving visitor sign-in procedures, making better use of noticeboards, reviewing wheelchair storage and providing hand sanitiser throughout the home. A follow-up visit was recommended in 12 to 18 months.
