Overall, the home was found to provide a very high standard of care in a bright, modern and welcoming environment. Residents spoke positively about their experiences and described staff as caring, professional and compassionate. Healthwatch found the home clean, well maintained and resident-focused, with recent refurbishment creating a particularly positive atmosphere.

Residents reported feeling safe, respected and well supported. Staff were observed interacting warmly and respectfully with residents, and family members expressed confidence in the quality of care provided. The home offered a wide range of activities including craft sessions, therapy animals, community outings, musical entertainment and quizzes. Food was highly praised, with residents reporting good choice, flexibility and high-quality meals.

Healthwatch also identified several examples of good practice, including strong links with local healthcare services, regular GP support, positive staff morale, no recent use of agency staff and excellent facilities such as a café lounge, sensory spa bathrooms and landscaped gardens. Staff reported feeling supported by management and spoke positively about training and development opportunities.

Only minor improvements were recommended. These included displaying Healthwatch information more prominently, introducing more dementia-friendly toilet seats and clocks, ensuring medication trolley keys are always secured, providing a reception bell when reception is unattended and reinstating the home's resident feedback display board.
