Summary of report content

Healthwatch Liverpool carried out an Enter and View visit to Bentley Care Home in July 2015 to learn more about the service and identify areas of good practice.

Staff spoke positively about the home and described strong relationships with residents, while a resident who spoke with Healthwatch reported feeling well supported and encouraged to remain independent.

 The visit highlighted a varied programme of activities and examples of staff commitment but also identified concerns regarding aspects of the environment, maintenance, infection control, health and safety, security and information for residents and visitors. 

A number of recommendations were made to improve the environment, safety procedures and communication with residents and families.
