Healthwatch Norfolk visited Watton Medical Practice in July 2026 to gather patient feedback about local primary care services. Fifteen reviews were collected, resulting in an average rating of 3.5 out of 5. Patients reported mixed experiences of the practice. While some described care as professional, efficient and supportive, others raised concerns about access to appointments and communication.
Many patients praised the clinical care they received once they were seen, describing doctors, nurses and some reception staff as helpful, friendly and knowledgeable. Several respondents reported improvements in the service compared with previous experiences and expressed confidence in the support they received for both routine and ongoing health needs. The practice's facilities, information displays and online services were also viewed positively.
The most common concern was difficulty accessing appointments. Many patients described long waits for routine appointments, challenges using online systems and frustration at being directed to alternative services. Some felt communication between the practice and other healthcare providers could be improved. A number of patients also raised concerns about continuity of care, inconsistent advice and negative experiences with some reception staff, particularly when seeking urgent appointments or follow-up care.
Overall, feedback suggests that patients value the quality of care provided by clinicians once accessed, but many continue to experience barriers when trying to obtain appointments. Healthwatch found that while some patients reported significant improvements in service delivery, access, communication and continuity of care remain key areas affecting patient satisfaction at the practice.
