Annual Report 2014/15

Healthwatch Greenwich report on its key achievements for 2014/15.  It:

• influenced improvements to children and young people's mental health services (CAMHS) by challenging the quality of public engagement, helping secure stronger commitments to involve young people in service design and monitoring. 
• Evaluated the Greenwich Coordinated Care (Integrated Care) pilot, finding positive impacts for patients with complex needs and making recommendations to improve the Care Navigator model before wider rollout. 
• Strengthened engagement with seldom-heard communities, including the Nepalese community, Black and ethnic minority groups, older people, carers and migrants, gathering over 240 pieces of feedback on health and care services. 
• Influenced service planning and commissioning, including delaying procurements to allow better public engagement and securing full voting rights for Healthwatch Greenwich on the Health and Wellbeing Board.
• Improved patient experience and service quality through hospital cleanliness audits, PLACE assessments and involvement in the design of Eltham Community Hospital, leading to practical changes such as improved patient communications and facilities.
