Healthwatch Lancashire visited Abbeyfield House Care Home in October 2023 and found a warm, welcoming service where residents, relatives and staff were overwhelmingly positive about the quality of care provided. The home accommodated 37 residents at the time of the visit and had recently undergone refurbishment to improve communal areas and facilities.
Residents praised the caring and compassionate staff, the personalised approach to care, the range of activities available and the comfortable environment. Relatives were highly complimentary about communication and involvement, while staff described a positive workplace culture focused on person-centred care and continuous improvement.
