Healthwatch Lancashire report on its key achievements for 2022/23. It:
- Engaged with 14,338 people, reached 77 seldom-heard groups, produced 40 reports, and made 104 recommendations through its engagement and Enter and View work.
- Expanded its Enter and View programme, carrying out 33 visits across care homes, GP practices, day services, hospices and mental health rehabilitation services, leading to at least 25 improvements being implemented by providers.
- Influenced future NHS vaccination programmes through a major Covid-19 vaccination hesitancy project, engaging 1,216 people from 19 seldom-heard communities and producing recommendations adopted by NHS partners.
- Strengthened engagement with underrepresented communities through Community Champions, work with refugee groups, carers, people with learning disabilities, and other seldom-heard groups across Lancashire.
- Improved access and influence in key healthcare issues, including GP access, mental health, disability support, and participation in strategic NHS planning through work with the Integrated Care Board and Integrated Care Partnership.
