Healthwatch Lancashire report on their key achievements for 2020/21. They:
- Adapted successfully to the pandemic, engaging over 1,600 people through Covid-19 surveys, providing intelligence that informed local health and care responses and service planning.
- Amplified the voices of seldom-heard communities, including the Windrush Health Group, people with learning disabilities, autistic people, and diverse ethnic communities.
- Helped tackle isolation during Covid-19 through the Keeping People Connected programme and online support groups for people with learning disabilities and autism.
- Delivered influential collaborative work through Healthwatch Together, including projects on digital healthcare, hospital discharge, elective care recovery, and patients' experiences of remote consultations.
- Produced 16 reports containing 83 recommendations, using public feedback to influence health and social care services across Lancashire and South Cumbria.
