Summary of report content

Healthwatch Lancashire report on their key achievements for 2018/19. They:

  • Engaged with 8,000 people, visited 185 services and community events, and secured 25 service improvements based on public feedback. 
  • Completed 33 Enter and View visits to care homes, helping improve quality of care and shaping future care home development with Lancashire County Council. 
  • Influenced Lancashire and South Cumbria's digital health strategy through a major Healthwatch Together project involving almost 2,000 residents
  • Worked with partners to redesign children and young people's mental health services, ensuring young people, families and carers shaped future service models.
  • Co-produced accessible breast and cervical cancer screening toolkits for women with learning disabilities, helping improve information, communication and informed choice.
