Summary of report content

Healthwatch Slough visited Applegarth Care Home in May 2026 for and Enter and View. This focused on independence and choice. A dementia walk around also took place. The team spoke to the manager, deputy manager and the activities lead as well as some of the residents. A post box was provided for relatives and staff to place completed surveys.

There was a low response rate from the relatives and staff. The report made recommendations for improvement and feedback was received on these and put into the report. It was encouraging that, the manager has already started to implement some of the recommendations made.

A revisit will be conducted in early 2027
