Summary of report content

Healthwatch Lancashire undertook an enter and view revisit to West Lancashire Urgent Treatment Centre on 14 April 2026.

Overall, the revisit to West Lancashire Urgent Treatment Centre in Ormskirk was a positive opportunity to learn about the work that the staff and management have carried out, and the impact of our recommendations following Healthwatch's first Enter and View visit. Highlights included the implementation of the pull chord in the disabled toilet and the addition of the feedback box and forms in the entrance to the centre.

A lot has been changed in terms of staffing including clearer messages after team meetings, weekly newsletters for vital information and more visuals are up around the Centre for staff to communicate with patients correctly. The implementation of the patient journey and the updated times have supported staff members.
