Summary of report content

Healthwatch Bolton undertook a survey of 71 people to inform their response to the proposed Online Trust.  The consultation asked people about their experiences of the NHS App.

7% of respondents hadn't used the NHS App due to a range of reasons

69% had used it to view medical records and 64% to order repeat prescriptions.

84% said it was easy to use

Challenges reported included technical problems, accessibility concerns and a lack of integration with hospital records

There was a strong preference for face to face consultations

The advantages of the NHS App included convenience, especially for working people.

People who felt virtual healthcare services were important cited ease of access.  Those that didn't couldn't use virtual services.

People wanted support to use the app and the app to include all their medical records.
