Summary of report content

Healthwatch North Lincolnshire undertook an enter and view visit to the Mount in Barrow on Humber on 3 October 2024.  The main reason for doing this was to look at oral health, promotion, and access to dental services for residents.  They wanted to see if there had been any improvement since their previous research in 2019.

The team at The Mount appeared to be attentive to the needs of the residents who all appear happy in their environment. Residents were assessed for oral health on a regular basis, using the NICE recommended assessment tool. The Mount has an Oral Health Policy in place provided by their company. Residents were registered with the community dentist, and some had a private dentist. Staff knew how to access emergency treatment for a resident if required.
